Hello!

I’m Mariarose and I bring 30 years of experience in social work to Rogue Healing Collective. I have been a therapist, a community mental health worker and a hospice social worker.  I have also stumbled my way through mothering a blended family, a journey that required and continues to require counsel, along with frequent repair of self and relationships, forgiveness and humility. I have needed and received therapeutic support so many times in my life.  I’ve found that the more open I am to my own suffering with the support of others, the more available I am for others when they need support.  I’ve also learned how to (eventually) find my way back to moments of peace and even joy.

 

Our family has benefitted from life in this community in so many ways - the natural beauty;  the helpful, authentic culture, wonderful schools, and especially the band program. I’m so happy to be part of this Collective; to add our love and support into the mix of what is growing in our hometown.

 

As a therapist, I really enjoy supporting people as they untangle what feels so deeply stuck and painful.  I use a mix of approaches, depending on what is happening with a person, to begin to loosen the ties that bind us to pain; to make room for new growth.  These approaches include intensive and compassionate listening, mindfulness, cognitive and behavioral reflections, sand play and art therapy.
